Advice and Resources for Inventors, Product Innovators and Entrepreneurs
I have included a bit of my content on the sub-menu of this section. Much more is on InventorsofJacksonville.weebly.com
From my varied work and personal experiences, as well as my leadership of the inventors associations, I provide time, money and frustration saving advice for inventors and small business entrepreneurs. I’ll point the way to take advantage of my extensive network of connections and resources to many of the product and service providers you need.
Whether you are just exploring the viability of your ideas, have products under development or have products on the market it will be well worth your while to spend some time with me.
The lists and articles in this section supports the advice and resources I provide to my clients. I was the president of the inventors association in Atlanta for 3 years and I continue to be an advisor to people with a big idea.
I have over 300 inventor related articles and resource lists on my computer that I can send to novice and experienced product developers.
Most inventors need to do far more market research then they've done, to gather needed data to validate enough interest, at sufficient profitability, to impress prospective investors or licensing companies.
I provide valuable Information, resources and connections on these topics and more:
manufacturing methods
prototype development
trade shows and trade shoe research
order & invoice funding
finding service providers
product design
marketing methods
distribution – supply chain
materials selection
business and trade networking
market and price perception research
patents & trade secrets
being ready for investors
connections to suppliers
product packing and its relationship to product design and size
I strongly advocate "safe sharing" which allows you to gather needed information without giving away any of your "secret sauce".
I also offer entertaining, highly informative and interactive presentations for business, civic and special interest groups.
These are very popular topics for many kinds of professionals who use tools and equipment in their trade.

SomeTestimonials:
I work full time and do not have the connections to business leaders in the community. Dave provides invaluable information and network opportunities which ultimately increase my knowledge, confidence, and growth to take my invention to market. What an angel Dave! Dave Savage is a virtual ‘encyclopedia’ of knowledge and information for inventors and entrepreneurs. He has collected a vast network of people and companies that can provide resources to anyone learning/launching a new venture. As a bonus to all of this, Dave is so easy to talk with and possesses an ‘encouraging’ style of helping people on their journey. What a resource! Talking with Dave is like talking with Google!! Dave, thanks for your help. You are great! Rick Hagle – Inventors Association member rahagle@gmail.com

I had a recently developed product and no clue about how to move forward with it. My online and library research contained a lot of contradictory information. Inventor Associates of Georgia (IAG) put me in touch with Dave Savage, one of their mentors and past presidents.
Dave was kind enough to email dozens of articles related to developing new products. I suppose it was a shotgun approach meant to flush out my most immediate issues. After a few more emails back and forth, he graciously invited me to a lunch meeting to discuss the processes involved.
Meeting Dave was a both a privilege and an opportunity. He is very knowledgeable about the invention and marketing processes, and has accumulated a large collection of literature and industry contacts. Insightful and easy to talk with, he identified many questions I did not know enough to ask. Although I left overwhelmed by possibilities I had not considered, identifying a few critical tasks and initial contacts provided much needed direction to get this journey started.
Thank you Dave for sharing your time, experience and resources with me.
