Building structures with Dave's cups and buckets is an opportunity to learn in many areas:
Team Building + Leadership + Strategy + Patience + Creativity + Innovation
Engineering + Dexterity + Artistic Expression + Cooperation + Communication Style

Dozens of people can be involved at the same time.
This becomes extra fun when teams are divided into:
Men - Boys vs. Women - Girls + Young vs Mature + Management vs Staff + Teachers vs Students
One company or organization dept. vs another + Coaches vs Players
Team competitions, done in silence, are fun and enlightening to watch and participate in.

For youth groups:
♦ Life lessons, team work, personal development and vocabulary building are parts of the learning. ♦ Physics & construction principles are taught and reinforced. ♦ Ideal as an indoor PE substitute class. ♦ Various levels of physical activity can be integrated into the program. ♦ 1 to 50 kids at a time can participate. ♦ The curriculum can be adjusted for any grade level. ♦ Challenged kids through gifted kids are great to work with. ♦ Teacher preparation materials are included. (The adults have a great time building too.) ♦ Your kids will never look at a cup or bucket the same way again. |
Due to the light weight of the cups and buckets this is an indoor or breeze protected activity.
This also means no damage to floors or people when the structures fall or are knocked down.
Actually, knocking down the large walls and towers is one of the most fun and anticipated parts of the activity
There are many ways to make Dave's cup activities Different Ability friendly and accessible.
Kids, as young as two, have enjoyed playing with the cups.

I now have over 3,000 cups, in various sizes, that can easily involve large groups.
This would also be an excellent sculpture building installation activity in a large space art gallery, shopping mall or conference - expo center. Without ladders, imposing structures 10-15 feet high can be built. Dear Dave,
I want to thank you so much for coming to our class with your cups. As you could tell, the students enjoyed the activity immeasurably! They were engaged and focused the entire time. You integrated so many topics, from science to problem-solving, while gently guiding them to success. This is a great team-building activity, and it was wonderful to see the students become more and more cooperative as the project progressed. You even guided them in fun and orderly clean-up! I am so glad my students had this opportunity. They will never forget the experience. Sincerely, Jane Kates Cedar Hill Elementary School Third Grade – Special Ed |
Millions of combinations are possible.
Who will lead? Do you need a leader? When it falls we "Build it bigger and better" Can adults build faster than kids? Can a group build in complete silence? |
Bucket cups are easily handled by kids as young as 18 months old. See the pictures below. The brother's helper is still in diapers. In just a few minutes large and impressive structures are built. The anticipation and fun of knocking down the structures is a remembered highlight of the memorable experience. It's wonderful to see the cooperation and instruction between age groups.
In my package I include video, suitable for your website, social media and training.
